A mask carved with the face of the moon and a Raven head painted on the forehead.  One left side of the moon circle a Raven Is painted.  On the right side is a quarter moon and a human looking at the central face. 

 

The Nu-Chah-Nulth lunar calendar has 13 months. They believe the moon is a masculine figure.  Raven brought light to the world when he placed the sun, moon and stars in the sky.
