Corey was born in 1970 in Seattle, Washington. He is Tsimshian and belongs to the Lax Kw'aLaams Band. Corey has studied, trained and practiced for many years to achieve his unique contemporary yet traditional style. He creates silver and gold jewelry pieces and also carves cedar panels, masks, and other works. He's been featured in a number of exhibitions recieved awards, and is recognised as a leading West Coast Native artist.
