Liam Baker is an artist representing both the Squamish Nation and Namgis Nation. Taught by his father, master carver Matthew Baker, and uncle, Richie Baker, their practice in fine jewelry, totem poles, and wood carvings, honors ancestral knowledge and the stories of the Squamish Nations, and Namgis nation. Liam Baker's pieces are living expressions of cultural continuity passed down through family.”
