1 1/2" by 7 1/2", sterling silver, hand carved by Haida master artist Alvin Adkins.  A wide bracelet for a man, or a woman with a fairly large wrist.  The photo doesn't do justice to this beautiful shining silver bracelet.  Smooth deep gouging and expert Haida design by master jeweller Alvin Adkins.  The frog’s Head facing forward at the front, and it’s feet and body split on the two sides.

On the west coast of Canada, the frog holds deep cultural, spiritual, and symbolic meaning for Indigenous Peoples. The frog is seen as a powerful being that lives in and moves between two worlds: on the earth and under the water, and also the natural and supernatural realms. Because of this unique ability, the frog is often understood as a messenger and a bridge between humans and spirits. It plays an important role in spiritual communication and is a helper to Shamans.
