Chris Sparrow (Musqueam / Coast Salish)

Chris Sparrow is a Coast Salish artist from the Musqueam Band.  His inspiration comes from a way of life on the land and sea. Like his father and grandfather before him hunting and fishing, studying the flows of the tides and the movements of the animals and sea creatures.  He has been carving wood since he was nine years old.

His work is expertly crafted in the finest of materials, generally cedar and acrylic. Chris Sparrow’s work stands alone, reflecting a highly collectable and evolving design aesthetic. Pieces that are traditional yet contemporary.  These one of a kind pieces are a commanding presence, and evoke the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
