The ‘bear mother’ story tells of a woman that disrespects bears so is kidnapped and married to a grizzly bear. She gives birth to two sons who have a mix of human and bear features. When she is eventually rescued, she and her sons bring back the bear hunting songs and ceremonies to their people.
