The eagle is a great hunter. He can see 8 times further than a human, and can spot a rabbit two miles away. In Native cultures eagles are believed to be sacred because they carry messages between the Creator and humans. Eagle feathers are used in many Native ceremonies to reward courage and to connect with the spirit world.
