Six faces look out at us from a blue and black moon. A carved mask in the centre is an Eagle’s head with shining abalone eyes. An Eagle head above painted on the background circle. A human face on each wing joint, on the eagle's forehead, and one reversed at the bottom on the tail refer to the relationship between the Eagle and Humans.
Nu-Chah-Nulth master carver Patrick Amos has lived his life in the presence of Eagles on the west coast of Vancouver Island. He practices his culture and has a deep understanding of Indigenous beliefs. Eagles are considered sacred by Indigenous People on the West Coast. Its' feathers are widely used in ceremonies.
