Kwak'waka'wakw spiritual Designs are carved and painted on all sides of the box. Raven dancers and eagle dancers. a human hand in a welcoming gesture is carved on one end. A salmon with ravens is carved on the underside of the lid. Even the bottom of the box is carved. This is Jimmy Joseph's signature style. Every surface is deeply carved and painted with abalone inlays and a liberal amount of dashing.
Jimmy Joseph is a Kwak'waka'wakw master carver who's been a professional carver pretty well all of his life.
