5mm Round Natural Sleeping Beauty Beads. Sleeping Beauty turquoise is noted for its solid, light blue color with little or no matrix. The mine is named after a nearby mountain which looks like a woman sleeping on her back. This stone has been used to create jewelry by Southwestern Native Americans since time immemorial. The Sleeping Beauty mine closed in 2012.
