Richard Shorty from the Raven Clan of the Kwanlin Dun Northern Tutchone People was born in Whitehorse, Yukon in 1959. He began drawing and painting at an early age. In the early 1980's, he started developing his own style that mixes west coast design with realistic painting, and traditional with contemporary. He primarily created original paintings, limited edition prints, and large scale murals.
Richard recently passed on to the spirit world. He was a gentle down to earth person who will be missed.
